Costumes, candy, decorations, and parties. Even though this holiday requires no gift giving it is still one of the top money spending holidays and a record of 170 million Americans celebrated Halloween this year. Shoppers are looking for the biggest bang for their buck and Halloween trends show they’re getting it!
Not sure if it’s due to the post-recession shoppers or the fact that children and adults can be whoever they want, but Halloween 2012 went from a $7 billion holiday (2011) to an $8 billion dollar holiday. This also means that each American spent about $7.50 more than last year, making it an average of $79.82 each. Now let’s break it down.
